Signature of a convention to support education and promote excellence.

A partnership agreement was signed on January 13th 2021 in Rabat by Mr. Saaïd AMZAZI, Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Mr. Fouad BRINI, President of Tanger Med Foundation.

This agreement aims to support education in the northern region of the Kingdom and to promote excellence at the national level.
Through this agreement, Tanger Med Foundation reasserts its commitment to improve the quality of education and training, as well as strengthening a Moroccan educational model based on the culture of excellence and innovation.

The first milestone of this partnership aims to give the country’s most deserving students the means to achieve their ambitions thanks to
first-rate education and learning standards. To this end, a High School of Excellence will first open its doors in Martil, near Tetouan,to students willing to enter excellent scientific preparatory classes in order to prepare, in the best possible conditions, for the competitive examinations of the Moroccan and French Schools of Engineering.

In the second phase, the school will also offer a qualifying secondary school course enabling

Since its creation in 2007, Tanger Med Foundation has always taken a particular interest in the education sector by carrying out high-impact projects in the benefit of the local population in order to reduce school dropout and improve schooling conditions in the region:
– The upgrading of 120 schools in the province of Fahs Anjra,
– The construction of 36 pre-school classes,
– School transport for primary, secondary and high school students in the province of Fahs Anjra,
– The setting up of “Dar Taleb” and “Dar Al Fatate” reception centres,
– The distribution of textbooks and school supplies,
– The distribution of prizes to the best baccalaureate graduates in the region to encourage them to persevere and excel.

These educational actions involved 370 projects for the benefit of 114,500 direct beneficiaries. Thus, and in the continuity of the programs implemented, Tanger Med Foundation is working to reach a new milestone by contributing to a higher level of education and a culture of excellence at both regional and national levels, by launching LYMED, which stands for “Lycée Méditerranéen”.
