1337 MED CAMPUS: EVENTS THAT STRENGTHEN TIES

Learning by connecting is part of 1337’s DNA and events such as the “Web3 Days” help to develop this spirit. On October 24th, the 1337 MED campus welcomed the 1337 alumni who are now co-founders of the blockchain services company “Hyperspace.” During the day, the students were able to discuss the key role of “Blockchain” and “Web3” technologies in security and data protection. Beyond the technical aspect, the speakers shared their personal experiences after leaving 1337. This is an opportunity for students to gain first-hand knowledge of the various opportunities available to them once they have completed their studies.

Still in the framework of learning through the exchange on technological trends, the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P) organized the “1337 Metaverse Day” in Ben Guérir on December 14th. The opportunity for more than 80 students from 1337 MED to discover the technologies of tomorrow and their application in our daily lives. Participants attended presentations and workshops led by more than 16 experts, as well as simulations to learn about “Metaverse”, “Web3,” and “AR/VR” technologies.

In front of an audience of over 700 participants, the event was also an opportunity to raise the economic, regulatory, and ethical implications of these new technologies.

In any case, there is a time for everything and anything. A time to code, a time to experience student life differently. 1337 MED organized its first Halloween party, proving that its students’ talent and creativity go beyond the screen. Under the neon light, the coding space was transformed and saw a whole host of creatures passing by. The campus also saw the creation of its first Football Championship. All these
events show that the talent and creativity of 1337 students do not stop at their screens.

It is in this same spirit that the campus created its first soccer league, bringing together students who are motivated by sports, a way of life that allows them to push themselves. The first match was held in November and more matches will be held in 2023.
