The Tanger Med Foundation is particularly interested in environmental projects and awareness-raising activities, especially for children.
It is in this context that it has assisted 11 schools in the area to obtain the Green Flag label awarded to environmentally-friendly schools that meet the standards set by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection and the Provincial Directorate of National Education.
With the objective of instilling good environmental practices in students, schools are implementing a variety of workshops:
-Preservation of natural resources (rainwater recovery)
-Renewable energies (installation of photovoltaic panels)
-Recycling and waste management
-Biodiversity
-Community initiatives
With the support of the Tanger Med Foundation, the Dockchir and Zemmij schools have just been awarded the Green Flag label thanks to the commitment of their administrative and educational teams. The students show creativity, involvement, and sharing.
With a total of 13 schools certified in its area of operation, the Foundation continues to support this pedagogical approach, which encourages the development of an eco-friendly culture among young people.
