TANGER MED ENGINEERING: PARTICIPATI0N IN THE 9TH ANNUAL AEZO CONVENTION

From November 27 to 29, 2024, Tanger Med Engineering (TME) took part in the 9th Annual African Economic Zones Organization (AEZO) Convention, held in Nairobi, Kenya. This leading event brought together experts, decision-makers, and professionals from Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to discuss current issues and best practices in the sector.

During the convention, Mr. Nasser TLASSELLAL, Managing Director of Tanger Med Engineering, spoke on the topic of “Measuring impacts: How SEZs Contribute to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals Agenda.”

In his speech, Mr. TLASSELLAL addressed key themes, illustrating the convergence between the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the practices of Special Economic Zones:

  • Synergies between the UN SDGs and Ecological Industrial Parks (EIPs).
  • Tanger Med Group as a model of alignment with SDGs.
  • TME’s engineering principles in support of SDGs.

The speech reaffirmed Tanger Med Engineering’s position as a key player in the promotion of responsible economic development, while reinforcing its role as a reference in the field of Special Economic Zones in Africa.
