SPORTS FOR EDUCATION: PROVINCIAL SCHOOL ATHLETICS TOURNAMENT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF JOUAMAA

As part of the annual program of the Moroccan Royal School Sports Federation, the Fahs Anjra regional section, in partnership with Tanger Med Foundation, organized a provincial school athletics tournament on Wednesday November 13, 2024, in Chrafate, in the municipality of Jouamaa.

The event brought together nearly 400 students from the province’s elementary, middle, and high schools, and was a decisive step towards the regional and national school championships.

The tournament was attended by representatives of the Fahs Anjra Province, the Jouamaa commune, the Fahs Anjra Provincial Departments of Education and Culture and Youth, as well as the Fahs Anjra Federation of Parents’ Associations and private companies.

This race, which has become an important annual event, has several essential educational aspects. It supports the impact of sport on academic success, encourages the values of competition and personal achievement in rural areas, and promotes equality between girls and boys through an inclusive approach.
