This leading forum brought together influential figures and major organizations, providing an essential platform for dialogue and collaboration between Africa, Qatar, and other partners in the Middle East and beyond. On the Moroccan side, the forum was chaired by Aziz Akhannouch, Prime Minister, while Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, President of Years of Culture, honored the event with her presence, designating Morocco as a cultural partner for the year 2024.

The Qatar Africa Business Forum 2024 is part of the Qatar-Morocco Year of Culture 2024, underlining once again the depth of the strong and historic ties between the two peoples and between the two Heads of State, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.

The forum brought together 350 eminent leaders from the private and public sectors, representing diverse interests essential to shaping Africa’s future. This year’s edition focused on the transformative power of artificial intelligence, with “Investing in AI for Tomorrow’s Growth” as its main theme.

The main purpose of the forum was to accelerate South-South cooperation through joint projects focusing on artificial intelligence, technological innovation, and sustainability. Debates also focused on Africa’s role in the global economy, with discussions centering on key sectors such as agriculture, smart urbanization, and renewable energies, as well as the preparation of sports and economic infrastructures for 2030, drawing on Qatar’s experiences in hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
