LAUNCH OF THE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANTS (AVS)

After the first year of this program, the Tanger Med Foundation has just launched the second year of the training program for educational assistants in collaboration with the Association Enfants du Paradis and the Tangier provincial departments of Education and Health.

The project expects to train young AVS in charge of accompanying children with disabilities in the region, ensuring the role of mediation and facilitating their inclusion in their school and extra-curricular environment.

The project responds to the need for families to have access to resource persons who can help them live better with their disability and manage the stresses of daily life (fatigue, social isolation, marital tension, difficulties in concentrating on their professional life).

Currently, around fifteen young women are benefiting from the training program through modules led by carefully selected professionals: a psychologist, a neurologist, a specialist in educational sciences, a sociologist, a psychomotor therapist, a legal expert, etc.

It should be noted that the graduates of the first class have all entered the job market.
