DALIA SAILING SCHOOL PARTICIPATES AT THE BENGHAZI INTERNATIONAL BENGHAZI 2024 INTERNATIONAL SAILING CHAMPIONSHIP

Two young athletes from the Dalia Association, Samy and Hatim, represented Morocco in the Optimist category during the Benghazi 2024 International Sailing Championship, which took place from August 10-13 in Libya, alongside competitors from countries such as Libya, Tunisia, Iraq, Seychelles, and Sudan. The Moroccan national team also participated in the ILCA 7 and Kite Surf categories.

This championship was part of the activities of the Benghazi Summer Festival 2024, an event that highlights water sports in Libya and served as a preparation for the African Championship to be organized in 2026.

Results of Moroccan athletes:

• Samy from Dalia sailing school finished in 2nd place in the Youth Division Optimist category.
• Ali Bakkali, from the Dakhla Association, won 1st place in Kite Surfing.
