TANGER MED FOUNDATION STRENGTHENS ITS COMMITMENT TO WOMEN’S ENTREPRENEURSHIP THROUGH THE LALLA AL MOUTAÂOUINA AWARDS

Tanger Med Foundation reiterated its support for women’s social and mutual economic activities at the 5th edition of the Lalla Al Moutaaouina Awards, held under the theme “Women’s Cooperatives: A fertile ground for promoting female entrepreneurship”.

Organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, Social and Solidarity Economy, in collaboration with the Office of Cooperation Development (ODCO), and supported by various institutional partners, stakeholders from the public and private sectors, as well as international players, the Lalla Al Moutaaouina Awards are designed to encourage innovative initiatives by women’s cooperatives in the promotion of women’s economic empowerment.

During the official ceremony, which took place on Tuesday April 25th, 2024 in Rabat, 29 women’s cooperatives out of a total of 323 who submitted their projects were presented with awards.

Tanger Med Foundation contributed to the funding of incentive grants awarded to two selected women’s cooperatives: OSTRAS FNIDEQ, specializing in the cooking and marketing of dishes based on oysters, shellfish, mussels, and other seafood, and SUN POWER, dedicated to the manufacture of ecological solar solutions: solar ovens, solar dryers, solar panels, etc.
