  • CHOIR AND PIANO WORKSHOPS AT MELLOUSSA

The polyphonic choral singing workshop, better known as the Melloussa Choir, was launched by Tanger Med Foundation more than five years ago. Since its inception, this workshop has enjoyed growing success, and continues to attract the enthusiasm and commitment of the children.

In partnership with the association “The Soul of Tangier Association for Choir, Art, and Culture,” Tanger Med Foundation has decided to renew this workshop for the 2024/2025 season. The aim of this initiative is to offer children a space where they can practice music, exchange ideas and enjoy a friendly atmosphere, while fostering their personal development, social cohesion and the promotion of musical culture. Currently, 22 schoolchildren are benefiting from this program.

Additionally, a second workshop, dedicated to piano, was launched last year with the aim of making this instrument accessible to a wider audience. Following its success, this workshop has also been renewed. It currently has 15 beneficiaries.

One of the major aims of this piano workshop is to prepare students to take part in the National Piano Competition in 2025. This competition will enable them to develop the technical skills and confidence needed to perform on stage. The competition, held annually in Tangier, brings together a jury of piano teachers from different cities in the Kingdom, as well as international professionals.

  • MULTIDISCIPLINARY ART WORKSHOPS IN TÉTOUAN

Thanks to its partnership with the Mohammed VI Foundation for the Promotion of Social Works of Education-Training, Tanger Med Foundation is continuing its program of multi-purpose art workshops for pupils in the municipality of Khmiss Anjra.

These workshops take place at the IKLYLE sociocultural center in Tétouan, with the goal of awakening participants’ talents and enriching their artistic careers.

The 30 students benefiting from the program have the opportunity to learn about a variety of artistic disciplines, including music, digital paint, and sculpture. By stimulating their creativity, these workshops help to democratize access to art. Supervision is provided by artists and teachers renowned for their expertise, guaranteeing quality support and immersion in each discipline.
