SUPPORT FOR LOCAL COOPERATIVES: SOLIDARITY EXHIBITION OF THE MARHABA 2025 OPERATION

For the second consecutive year, Tanger Med Foundation, in partnership with the Office for Development Cooperation (ODCO), organized a solidarity and social exhibition in August 2025 to support cooperatives in the region, particularly those in the province of Fahs Anjra.

Some twenty cooperatives have benefited from this sales and promotion platform. For Fahs Anjra’s organizations, which often face barriers to market access, the event provided a boost in visibility and a step toward more sustainable income, thanks to direct contact with buyers and influencers.

Located in the passenger vehicle boarding area of Tanger Med Port, the initiative provided privileged contact with a large flow of Moroccans Living Abroad during Operation Marhaba 2025. The number of visitors to the port confirmed the scale of the commercial potential that the Foundation wanted to tap into, while also raising awareness of local products.

By capitalizing on these seasonal flows, the initiative pursued a twofold objective: to create concrete opportunities for cooperatives and to promote a social economy rooted in local resources and skills. This year’s event has consolidated a local ecosystem where solidarity, quality, and short supply chains have added value to regional products.
