RECONSTRUCTION OF AIN CHOUKA SCHOOL – KSAR AL MAJAZ COMMUNE

In 2019, the archaeological site of the Ksar Al Majaz commune was included in the final list of Islamic heritage following the work and studies of the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).

As a result, the various stakeholders launched the relocation of the Ksar Al Majaz primary school, which was built on the archaeological site.

Tanger Med Foundation signed a partnership agreement with the Provincial Directorate of the Ministry of Education of Fahs Anjra for the transfer and reconstruction of the school in the village of Ain Chouka.

Built on two floors on a 1000 m2 plot of land, the school has a capacity of 240 students and
includes the following spaces
– 5 classrooms
– 1 courtyard
– 1 sanitary block for students (including PRM)
– 1 multimedia room
– Administration, teachers’ room and adult sanitary block
– Courtyard
– Fence
As the works were completed in February 2021, it was agreed to schedule the transfer of pupils in September 2021 to avoid any disruption
during the school year.
