PROJECT CIPHER : A STEP TOWARDS OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

The second quarter kicked off with the launch (kick-off) of Pilot Project 3, dubbed “Project Cipher”, a collaborative initiative between TMPA, the Port of Rotterdam, and the Tanger Med ecosystem aimed at reducing documentation errors and optimizing operations at Tanger Med thanks to digital solutions.

At the heart of this project, several key partners played a crucial role:

• Puerto Transit: Providing transit services, they ensured the seamless management of documents and shipments.
• Driscolls: As exporters, they worked closely together to ensure document accuracy.
• Partida Logística: Acting as forwarding agents in Spain, they facilitated cross-border transit with increased efficiency.
• CSI Fresh: Providing essential logistical support, their participation was crucial to the success of the project.

By the end of the second quarter, the objectives of this pilot had been successfully achieved. The documentation error rate has been reduced to 0% on 218 shipments. This avoided a 15-hour delay at port entry, thanks to error-free packing lists, phytosanitary certificates, and Foodex.

The eDox Online digital solution was a major asset for this project. Thanks to this advanced technology, it has been possible to automate and secure documentation processes, guaranteeing unprecedented fluidity and accuracy.

The success of this pilot project marks an important step for Tanger Med in its quest for operational excellence. By continuing to exploit digital technologies and collaborating with dedicated partners, we are certain that these high standards will be maintained and surpassed in future operations.
