PARTICIPATION IN THE NATIONAL WORKSHOP ON ECO-INDUSTRIAL PARKS IN MOROCCO

As part of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Program (GEIPP), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is implementing the “Eco-Industrial Parks (EIP) – Light Touch Activities” project in Morocco.

This program aims to demonstrate the feasibility of eco-industrial approaches by simultaneously improving the economic, environmental, and social performance of businesses.

Following a diagnostic phase conducted at six pilot sites, a feedback workshop was held on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Story Hotel in Rabat to present the results of the assessments and the project’s prospects.

Tanger Med Zones, represented by Ms. Jihad JAMAI, Project Manager, actively participated in this meeting, sharing its best practices in sustainable development.

The feedback highlighted the structural initiatives rolled out as part of its Eco-Industrial Park label, particularly in terms of decarbonization, waste recovery, wastewater reuse, and promoting the circular economy.
