PARTICIPATION IN THE AFRICA SPAIN SUMMIT 2025 IN MADRID

Tanger Med took part in the 3rd edition of the Africa Spain Summit, held in Madrid from July 6 to 8, 2025, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Union, and the Cooperation of the Kingdom of Spain. This summit has become a key event for Spain and Africa, bringing together more than 200 high level public and private decision-makers, including some 30 African ministers responsible for foreign affairs, finance, economy, industry, infrastructure, and agriculture, as well as representatives of European institutions, international donors, and major strategic groups.

At the heart of the discussions, Nasser Tlassellal, Managing Director of Tanger Med Engineering, spoke during the session entitled “CONNECT – For sustainable economic integration.” His speech focused on the decisive role of transport, logistics, and digital connectivity in the growth of regional value chains, emphasizing the need for effective public-private partnerships to finance resilient infrastructure. The event also highlighted the drivers of greater economic integration through trade and investment, which can strengthen the competitiveness of regions and accelerate sustainable growth across the continent.
