OPENING OF THE LOUIYED MOSQUE – KSAR AL MAJAZ

On the basis of an agreement signed with the Ministry of Habus and Islamic Affairs, the Foundation undertook the demolition and reconstruction of the Louiyed mosque in the Ksar Al Majaz municipality.

The opening of the mosque took place on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan which allowed the local population to enjoy the modern and functional facilities of this new mosque.

For this project, Tanger Med Foundation called upon the expertise of local master craftsmen in the field of decorative and ornamental work. With dexterity and agility, the mâallems have completed works of carved wood, zellij beldi, plaster, brassware, calligraphy … giving birth to a space evoking the pure Arab-Muslim tradition.
