On April 9, 2025, first-year students had the opportunity to attend a scientific conference at the Faculty of Sciences in Tétouan, organized by the French Institute and led by Sylvie Vauclair, renowned astrophysicist, professor emeritus, and member of the French Air and Space Academy.

During her presentation, Ms. Vauclair addressed the major questions that humanity has been asking since the dawn of civilization in an effort to understand the world and find its place in the universe. Over the centuries, this quest for understanding has found revolutionary answers thanks to scientific and technological advances, particularly in the field of astronomy. The students were impressed by the wealth of knowledge shared and the unique opportunity to interact directly with a leading figure in science.

This event not only broadened their view of science, but also fueled their thinking about the role of research in understanding the cosmos and in the evolution of our own perception of the world.
