MANEUVERABILITY STUDY OF THE MV UHL FORTUNE VESSEL IN THE PORT OF LAÂYOUNE BY TANGER MED ENGINEERING (TME)

On July 4th, Tanger Med Engineering carried out a maneuverability and modeling study for the port of Laayoune, using its TANGER MED MARINE SIMULATOR (TMMS)  tool.

TMMS is a state-of-the-art training and decision support tool using advanced technology, i.e., replicating an identical situation to the offshore reality, according to a 1/1 time scale, in a virtual and interactive environment, integrating digital modeling of areas and vessels.

The vessel was in charge of transporting construction materials for the new phosphate port project in Laâyoune, the study aimed to validate the MV UHL FORTUNE, a 150 m-long vessel with a draught of 6.15 m.
