“LES ETOILES DU DÉTROIT” CULTURAL CENTER

Since 2018, the Tanger Med Foundation has accompanied the Ali Zaoua Foundation in the hosting of the “Les Etoiles du Détroit” Cultural Center in Tangier, a dynamic, evolving space oriented towards exchange, tolerance, and open-mindedness.

Based in one of the most populated and underprivileged neighborhoods of Tangier, the Center now attracts more than 400 people and offers free artistic and cultural services as follows:

Academic support initiatives:

-Academic assistance

-French and English courses

-Computer Science

Social initiatives:

-Listening and coaching

-Support for women

-Training in model-making and fashion design

-Exchange meetings and debates (against violence,radicalization…)

Extracurricular, cultural, and artistic initiatives:

-Reading workshop at the library

-Singing, dancing, and theater workshops

-Various sports workshops (walking, running, Zumba…).
