LAUNCH OF CONSTRUCTION WORK FOR THE BTR MEDITERRANEAN NEW MATERIAL MANUFACTURING PLANT

Construction work has begun on the BTR Mediterranean New Material manufacturing plant, which specializes in the production of cathodes for electric batteries. BTR, world leader in materials for automotive batteries, has confirmed its move to a 15.6 hectare site, with a massive investment of 550 million euros and the creation of 1,900 jobs.

The start of earthworks in May 2024 marks an important stage in the development of this production plant. This installation will play a crucial role in the value chain for electric batteries, a rapidly expanding sector worldwide. The new BTR Mediterranean New Material plant is designed to boost production capacity for cathodes, an essential component in electric batteries.
