HAPAG-LLOYD EXTENDS CROSS MED EXPRESS (XMX) SERVICE

Hapag-Lloyd launched the Cross Med Express (XMX) service in March, replacing the current West Med Black Sea (WBS) service. This service will provide efficient coverage between the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean as far as Egypt, the Western Mediterranean, and Morocco.

The service will make direct calls between Turkish ports (Istanbul, Izmit, and Gemlik) and the ports of Tanger Med, Casablanca, and Barcelona. Connections are weekly and are operated by Hapag-Lloyd’s Feeder & Shuttle network via Tanger Med Port to destinations in the western Mediterranean and to main services to and from other regions. Full XMX service coverage is as follows: Istanbul -> Izmit -> Gemlik Tanger Med -> Casablanca -> Barcelona -> Istanbul
