Hapag-Lloyd and Arkas Line are reorganizing their West Med Black Sea (WBS) service in March. They will create two separate services: a joint East Med – West Med service (XMX/WBS) and an East Med – Black Sea Shuttle (BSX). The BSX service will include a stopover in Port Said, replacing Bourgas and Piraeus. The XMX/WBS service will run on a three-week rotation with 2800 TEU, linking Turkey, Morocco, and Spain. The Turkey-Black Sea route will be operated by Maersk’s new Turkey-Egypt-Romania service (marketed by Hapag-Lloyd as BSX), with a two-week rotation and 2,500 TEU.
