GREAT CASABLANCA MAKES ITS FIRST CALL AT DEPC-TCR

On Sunday, November 3, the Port of Casablanca welcomed the first call of Grimaldi Group’s new 5th generation vessel, Great Casablanca.

To mark the occasion, an inauguration ceremony was held at the East Container Terminal in the presence of several officials, including representatives of the Ministries of Equipment and Water, Transport, and Logistics, the Italian Consul General, and the Chairmen of Professional Associations.

This 250-meter-long vessel, with its dual capacity for Ro-Ro and container transport, is a major asset for strengthening trade between the Port of Casablanca and the main ports of West Africa, while offering exceptional operational and ecological efficiency.

Great Casablanca is equipped with an optimized propulsion system for greater energy efficiency, reducing CO2 emissions per ton transported by up to 43% compared with the company’s other multipurpose CONRO vessels.
