DALIA SAILING SCHOOL: WATER SPORTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF CHILDREN

One year after its opening by the Tanger Med Foundation, the Dalia Sailing School has been present in most of the national regattas under the aegis of the Royal Moroccan Sailing Federation and has achieved excellent results as follows

-Souhaib TALLAL from Ksar AlMajaz: Came in2nd in the Youth category – Bouregreg Regatta

-Yassine ELOUAFI from Ksar AlMajaz: Came in 2nd in the Youth category – Al Massira Regatta of M’diq and
3rd in the Youth category at the Sailing Throne Cup organized at the Mohammedia Nautical Center.

Under the effective guidance of the Dalia Watersports Association, these young talents and many others have spent a first year filled with rigorous training courses, theoretical workshops, and challenges.

A final achievement was added to the school’s performance; that of young Yassine who won 2nd place in the Moroccan championship in the Optimist category,which enabled him to qualify for the African championship scheduled for M’diq in May 2023.

In parallel to the follow-up of these young talents, the school continues to consolidate its school sailing program in partnership with the Tanger Med Foundation and the provincial directorate of National Education by opening its doors to students from the rural area of Fahs Anjra. Coordination will be maintained to facilitate student registration each term and to facilitate student travel.

Thanks to the efforts of all the participants, the Dalia Sailing School has organized its 2022 statutory regatta and intends to organize the 2023 Moroccan championship in the Laser Ilca 7 and Optimist categor
