DALIA SAILING SCHOOL SHINES AT THE 2025 AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIP

Supported by Tanger Med Foundation, Dalia Sailing School proudly represented Morocco at the 2025 African Optimist Championship in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Four young sailors from the school contributed to a historic achievement: Morocco’s victory in the team classification, a first in the history of the competition.

Among these talented athletes, Wiame Edouaoui, who trained at Dalia, earned the title of African vice champion in the women’s category, confirming the rise of the new generation of Moroccan sailors.

The national team, composed of five sailors (four from Dalia Sailing School and one from the Royal Navy in Casablanca), demonstrated remarkable technical mastery and team spirit.

This success is the culmination of years of training, discipline, and local and regional competitions supervised by the school.

Buoyed by these results, Dalia Sailing School has set its sights on a new challenge: the 2026 Optimist World Championship in Tangier, an opportunity to write a new chapter in Moroccan sailing history.
