DALIA 2024 “CLEAN BEACHES” PROGRAM

In parallel with the environmental approach of Tanger Med Group, the Foundation has been managing Dalia Beach since 2015 as part of the national “Clean Beaches” program initiated by the Mohammed VI Foundation for Environmental Protection.

Tanger Med Foundation provides funding as well as the logistical support and supervision necessary for the smooth running of this program. By providing facilities and equipment on the beach but also by upgrading the Dalia village socioeconomically and environmentally.

The program’s facilities include walkways, sanitary facilities, furniture, entertainment, sports and leisure areas, a library, and a special system to assist individuals with reduced mobility.

For 2024, several new features have been implemented, including an animal biodiversity area in order to promote the culture of preservation of fauna and flora as well as the inauguration of a maritime exhibition, intended to help people discover and appreciate the oceans and their ecosystems.

The exhibition offered educational and educational activities including an aquarium presenting local marine biodiversity, scientific research workshops for children, and demonstrations on the recycling of fishing nets.

A digital library space has also been created, offering books in French, Arabic, and English, intended for both children and adults.
