The FIRST Tech Challenge is part of a series of international competitions aimed at different age groups, all sharing a common goal: to encourage young people to develop their skills in robotics, programming, and teamwork, while stimulating their creativity and innovative spirit.

The 2025 FIRST Tech Robotics Championship was held in Houston from April 15 to 20, bringing together talented youth aged 9 to 18 from around the world to tackle high-level technological challenges.

Among them, the “Mindcraft Senior” team from Tangier stood out by winning the prestigious Peer Award, a distinction that recognizes not only technical excellence but also collaborative spirit and human values promoted by the competition.

Upon their return, the Mindcraft team members were welcomed at the headquarters of the Tanger Med Foundation, a partner in their adventure. The meeting celebrated their achievements and showcased their innovative prototype: a smart drone designed to detect marine debris, perfectly illustrating the alliance between technology and environmental commitment.
