HAPAG-LLOYD UPDATES FREIGHT FORWARDING TO AND FROM WEST AFRICA

Beginning in mid-February, Hapag-Lloyd expanded its presence in West Africa, adding new routes to and from the Tanger Med hub in Morocco. Shipments will be linked via the Hapag-Lloyd network to improve lead times for imports to Abidjan and exports from Dakar and Abidjan, and two new ports have been added: Lomé (Togo) and Onne (Nigeria).

  • New WA1 service rotation: Tanger Med, Morocco → Dakar, Senegal → Abidjan, Ivory Coast → Tanger Med, Morocco
  • New WA2 service rotation: Tanger Med, Morocco → Nouakchott, Mauritania → Conakry, Guinea → Freetown, Sierra Leone → Monrovia, Liberia → Tanger Med, Morocco
  • New WA3 service rotation: Tanger Med, Morocco → Banjul, Gambia → Tanger Med, Morocco
  • New WAX service rotation: Tanger Med, Morocco → Tema, Ghana → Lome, Togo → Cotonou, Benin → Lagos (Tincan / Apapa), Nigeria → Onne, Nigeria → Tanger Med, Morocco
  • New WWA service rotation: Antwerp, Belgium → Le Havre, France → Lisbon, Portugal → Tanger Med, Morocco → Tema, Ghana → Pointe Noire, Congo → Luanda, Angola → Tema, Ghana → Antwerp, Belgium
