As part of the Franco-Moroccan Mathematical Tours, LYMED hosted an exciting conference on the famous Tower of Hanoi problem. Organized by the Digital Analysis, Nonlinear Analysis, and Applications Laboratory at the Faculty of Science in Tétouan, in partnership with the Analysis, Geometry and Applications Laboratory at Sorbonne Paris Nord University, this scientific event enabled LYMED students to delve into the fascinating mysteries of mathematics.

Mr. Benoît RITTAUD, lecturer and researcher at Sorbonne Paris Nord University, captivated the audience by retracing the history of the Tower of Hanoi problem and illustrating its many practical applications. Using concrete examples, he brilliantly explained the steps involved in solving the problem, making a sometimes complex concept accessible.

The conference ended with an enriching exchange of views, with Mr. RITTAUD pedagogically answering the students’ questions. It also highlighted the vast opportunities offered by mathematics, both in academic and professional careers.
